Romance and wine tend to go hand in hand, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or trying some of Cupid's Sweets paired with wine. You may also find yourself presenting a unique wine as a gift itself...there are plenty of reasons to have a good bottle of wine on hand for February 14th! So let's take a look at some of the best options for Valentine's Day wines. The traditional Valentine colors just happen to come in the same color palette of wine: red, white and pink.
For the color red let's start with our Cabernet Sauvignon a perfect bold, dry red that pairs excellent with savory foods to stand up to the boldness of the Cab. For appetizers try Gouda, Parmesan, Blue Cheese, Smoked Meats, Grapes and Nuts. For the main dish try Steaks, Short Ribs, Lamb or even a Gourmet Cheeseburger. Finally for desserts try Chocolate Cake, Brownies and Mint Desserts.
For the color white let's start with our Early Frost a well balanced wine with a lingering finish of sweet and fruity aromas. A sweet white wine loves fruit desserts, as it emphasizes the fruit in the dessert, rather than the sugar. Pairs perfect with mild cheeses and fresh fruit. In the recipe column is a fun and delicious recipe for BBQ Chicken featuring Early Frost.
For the color pink let's start with our Jazzy Blush. A delicate and refreshing blush that delightfully dances on your palate with a light creaminess that surrenders to a refreshing crisp of strawberries and melon. Jazzy Blush pairs perfect with pasta dishes that features a creamy sauce, fish, crab cakes and even Asian cuisine.
